You Are Here is an 85-page modern TTRPG fever dream about surviving super mega hyperculture in the never-ending Mall of the Infinite. Within its infinite halls, mallgoers will explore the absurdity of the American subconscious in search of Escalators—legendary mechanisms of movement that lead up, up, up to the fabled Exit on the tippy-top floor.

Along the way, you'll hunt for the Silverdollar Serpent in the Great Fountain, thwart the best-laid plans of villainous fashion moguls, decline the poetic athletica of the Peloton Cultists, and rack up a hefty bill with your brand-new Infinitas no-limit credit card

Mallgoers and The Mall

3-5 of you will be mallgoers—ordinary people spirited away to The Mall of the Infinite. When you awaken in this linoleum-tiled wonderland, you'll find that something has changed within you, and aspects of your personality have been amplified by the intercessions of The Mall. Your playbook is now who you are.

One of you will be The Mall of the Infinite itself, or simply The Mall. You are the setting of this story, but you are just as alive as the mallgoers who explore within you. It is up to you to bring the denizens, the stores, and the toothier oddities of The Mall to life. You are infinite; act like it.

Together, the mallgoers and The Mall will write an odyssey full of strange allies, part-time jobs, hotwired segways, tag magic, time loops, and a massive haul of items.

Absolutely love this concept, I'm going to run this with some friends tonight. My only question is, from the Encore, what does it mean to "take opportunities to facilitate the bad end"?

Oh hell yeah, that's so awesome!!! I hope you and your table have a good time :)) And good question! That was some language that I'm planning on making clearer in the update later this summer.

Here's the scoop: When The Encore enters The Loop, they receive a vision of something that will go wrong if the party doesn't change their course. As long as the Encore isn't actively doing things to stop that event from still happening, they remain in The Loop.

At first, it might sound counterintuitive to purposefully lead the party into a bad situation, but the Encore is a big risk vs reward playbook — the closer you can barrel towards a bad situation, the better chances you have of diverting course at the last possible second and saving everyone.
